On October 15 last year we had no idea how long it would stay - in the event, it became one of the longest continuous occupations in the world, and took the Occupy message to thousands of people. ON Direct Action For those of...

“It is time now to look at this new elite who govern the world. Everyone can name three world-famous footballers. Everyone can name several world- famous film stars. Everyone can name some miserable politicians. Yet now, when four hundred people personally own almost half the world’s total wealth, only a small handful could name one of them.” Technique of the Coup de Banque. Shaykh...

Occupy Norwich courtesy notice to Norfolk...
In the interests of openness, and in the hope of our maintaining a good relationship with the local police during our protest, the following was today sent to Norfolk Constabulary. This was not a legal requirement, but if we hope to work ‘with’ the police and not against them, we felt it better to let them know our intentions are entirely peaceful.
‘Please accept this as a...

Thank you, new friends, comrades and Anons, for reminding us how people can be when at their best. Selfless, supportive, caring for and about each other. Remember we’re doing this...

What happened next...
As Occupy Wall Street grew and grew (and keeps on growing!) other towns and cities in the US and overseas started to hear about it via social media (mainstream media wasn’t covering it). More and more people wanted to get involved, to join in and help support this rapidly growing movement for equality. So more Occupy movements began to spring up across the United States, and in other...
